POST WAR PLANNING
ACTION IN AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) CANBERRA, August 5. The Federal Cabinet has decided to organise .post-war reconstruction planning under Ministerial direction. A sub-committee comprising the Treasurer, Mr Chifley, the Minister of External Affairs, Dr. Evatt, the Minister of Social Services and Health, Mu Hollaway, and the Minister of Labour and National Service, Mr Ward, will examine all the evidence and report, to Cabinet. The Prime Minister, Mr Curtin, said that post-war reconstruction was no single subject, but concerned the whole aspirations of the people for a better way of life,
