WOMEN’S INSTITUTES MISS L. HOOD ENTERTAINED. (“Times-Age” Special.) Members of the Women’s Institute and friends entertained Miss Lucy Hood, who is to be married shortly, at a “parcel afternoon.” Competitions and games were held. Mesdames Pope, Welsh, Jones, Pottinger and Miss Dimes were the competition winners. Afternoon tea was provided. Mrs Elbe presented Miss Hood with a posy and asked her, on behalf of those present, to accept the parcels which had been brought to the gathering. Miss Hood suitably replied. COSY THEATRE “SUSPICION.” What is acclaimed one of the best mystery romances ever brought to the screen, “Suspicion,” will be shown tonight. The leading characters are portrayed by Joan Fontaine, Cary Grant and Sir Cedric Hardwicke.
