COLLEGE DANCE
PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION GATHERING.
MANY PEOPLE TURNED AWAY.
The College Assembly Hall was filled to capacity on Saturday night and many were unable to gain admission to the College Parents’ Association’s dance. Mrs Ashton’s Orchestra again supplied excellent music and the dances were kept going with a good swing by Mr G. R. Permain, who acted as M.C.
A feature of the evening was an exhibition of a modern fox trot demonstrated by Miss Daphne Harding and Private Richard Cornwell, of Wellington. A lucky spot dance was won by Mr Dale and Miss McPherson. The supper arrangements were under the direction of a ladies’ committee of the College Parents’ Association. The stage v/as decorated with greenery and spring flowers and the floor was again in excellent order.
