INTERHOUSE GIRLS
ENTERTAIN AT Y.M.C.A.
MEMBERS OF ARMY & AIR FORCE.
AN ENJOYABLE GATHERING. The Wairarapa Interhouse Association provided the tea and entertainment at the Y.M.C.A. last night. There were about 160 servicemen present, and Mr L. B. Maunsell presided. Mrs Miller Hope’s concert party pro-, vided an enjoyable programme. Mr and Mrs Miller Hope and Miss Mollie Iveson being at the piano. Miss Grigg played for the hymns which were sung. An innovation was a series of talking pictures shown by Y.M.C.A. Field Secretary Campbell. . Padre Shield conducted the devotional session and led the singing of popular hymns from the Y.M.C.A. hymn book. Mr G. Daubney efficiently controlled the community singing. A most enjoyable gathering was brought to a conclusion with a community sing, Miss M. Iveson being at the piano. Representatives of the army and the air force suitably thanked the girls for the excellent tea and entertainment provided.
