TIMELY WARNING

GIVEN TO FRENCH WORKERS BY 8.8. C. PRODUCTION OF CEMENT FOR GERMANS. The 8.8. C., after reminding the French people that 80 per cent of the product of certain cement factories is exclusively for the use of Germans fighting against the liberators of France, recently gave a list of these factories. “We know full well that it is not of their own accord that the French workers are working to produce cement for the enemy,” said the broadcaster. “But it is indispensable, in your own interest as in ours, that the output should be hampered in those factories whose product only helps the Germans to prepare resistance against the attacks they are going to suffer.” Ten localities in the North of France where cement is being made for the enemy were named as on the list for an early visit from the R.A.F.
