GREYTOWN

SOCIAL GATHERING LOCAL RESIDENT FAREWELLED. (“Times-Age” Special.) A most enjoyable time was spent at the residence of Mr and Mrs A. Ross, Main Street, when friends of Mr E. Alexander, a popular Greytown hairdresser met to entertain him prior to his entering camp. Singing and elocutionary items were given and a community sing was greatly enjojyed. Mi’ Alex Johnson, on behalf of those present, handed Mr Alexander a money belt and wished him good luck and a safe return. Mr Alexander suitably replied. Mr and Mrs Ross were thanked for the use of their home in which to hold the gathering, TOWN HALL “LITTLE NELLY KELLY.” Tonight’s programme will be headed by the brilliant musical comedy, “Little Nelly Kelly,” in which Judy Garland, George Murphy and Charles Winninger have the leading roles.
