MOTHERS’ UNION ANNUAL MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) ) The annual meeting of the Mothers Union was held on Thursday afternoon. There was a good attendance, including several visitors. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs L. K. Williams: vice-presidents, Mesdames Turner and Simmers; committee, Mesdames J. McAnulty, H. Higginson, W. Anderson, A. Gray and D. R. Salter; secretary, Mta A. L. Christie (re-elected). A very satisfactory year was reported. The membership is now 30. An orphan girl in St. Mary’s Anglican Home had been adopted. A Christmas gift had been sent her and t £2 10s towards her keep in the home. Corporate Communion was held in the church every second Sunday morning and members are requested to attend as often as possible. Personal Items. Mrs J. Bright, Raetihi, is the guest of Mrs Falkner, Kaiparoro.
Mrs H. Atkins, Khandallah, is the guest of Mrs W. Olsen, Newman Road. Mrs Hawkins, Te Horo, is the guest of Mrs R. Thomasen, Atea.
