OBITUARY
MR HENRY HARWOOD SCOTT. The death occurred this morning at his residence, Clareville, of Mr Henry Harwood Scott, at the age of 75 years. The late Mr Scott was born at Takaka. In his younger days he followed the occupation of a goldminer at Collingwood. After his marriage he was sawmilling at Takaka and came to the Wairarapa 20 years ago. He was the proprietor of the Toute Suite restaurant, Masterton, for a period, until he retired 10 years ago. He had since resided at Clareville. The late Mr Scott is survived by a widow, three daughtrers, Mesdames F. W. White (Nelson), F. Allen (Pahiatua) and R. J. Shackleton (Masterton) and by five sons, Messrs F. F. (Blenheim), L. P. (Opunhae), E. J. B. (Military Forces), H. G. (Masterton) and A. Scott (Clareville). The funeral will take place on Saturday, leaving St. Mary’s Church, Carterton, following mass at 10.30 a.m. for the Clareville Cemetery.
