SERVING IN INDIA. PRESENTED TO THE DUKE OF GLOUCESTER. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 1 p.m.) CALCUTTA, June 22. Four New Zealand pilots, serving m India, were privileged to meet the Duke of Gloucester when he visited a R.A.F. station near Calcutta. They were Flying-Officer Edgar Pevreal, of Putaruru, who is credited with shooting down one Japanese plane over Singapore, Pilot Officer A. A. Cooper, of Wanganui, and Sergeant Pilot W. Christiansen, of Christchurch, who both served in Burma, and Sergeant E. Cochrane, North Auckland, who destroyed a Messerschmitt 109 while serving in England.
