EKETAHUNA
PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) The death occurred at Wellington oi Mrs H. Askew, formerly Miss Hilda Jesson, of Eketahuna. The late Mrs Askew, who was the only daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Jesson, was well known in Eketahuna, having attended both the primary and secondary departments Of the Eketahuna District High School. She was a skilled pianiste and vocalist and assisted at various local gatherings. To Mr and Mrs G. Jesson, Mr H. Askew and Messrs Alan and J. Jesson the deep sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended. A husband and a daughter eight months old are left. The interment took place in Wellington. Miss Mary Simmers has returned to Dunedin after having spent her vacation with Dr and Mrs Simmers, Bengston Street. Mrs Jefferies and Miss Christensen, Putara, spent the weekend in Palmerston North.
