CARTERTON

PATRIOTIC DANCE A LARGE ATTENDANCE. ("Times-Age” Special.) There was a large attendance at the State Theatre on Saturday night when the weekly dance for the entertainment of men of the armed forces was held. Music was supplied by Mr Tom Udy’s Orchestra and much appreciated extras were played by soldiers. Mr P. Beere was M.C. A Lucky Spot waltz was won by Miss B. Sewell and Mr Ireland. The supper arrangements were supervised by members of the Women’s Institute. Next Saturday ■ a combined orchestra of eight instruments will provide the music.
