IHURAUA

SEWING GUILD PATRIOTIC ACTIVITIES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Patriotic Sewing Guild was held at Tikitapu. Mrs Dagg presided over a good attendance. Eight parcels were packed for dispatch to soldiers overseas. Several letters of appreciation were read from recipients of parcels sent overseas. Seven members offered to make fruit cakes for the June dispatch of soldiers’ parcels. A letter was received from Mrs Theed, thanking members for a gift sent to her when she left the district. It was decided to knit a pullover for a member of the Air Force.

The annual meeting will be held next: month at the residence of Mrs C. Judd.

A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Meredith for the use of her homt.
