LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

CHILDREN ENTERTAIN PARENTS. MEETING YESTERDAY. The monthly meeting of the League of Mothers was held in the Parish Hall yesterday afternoon. The president, Mrs L. B. Maunsell, who presided, welcomed a large attendance of parents and children. The programme for the afternoon was given entirely by the children, as is usually done during the May holidays. The delightful items by the children were enjoyed by all. The programme was as follows: — Duet, Eleanor and John Bennett; recitation, Jocelyn Heath; piano solo, Alison Burns; piano solo, Roger Daniell; duet, Ngaire Mabson and C. Stewart; songs, E. Bennett, V. Teeboon, S. Mackley; recitation, ’Marion Dagg; piano solo, M. Seed; pianoforte duet, Fay and Jeannie Rawlins; piano solo, Marie Heath; recitation, Mary Shouler. The tea hostesses were; Mesdames Keltic, Hare, Shouler, Hope, Heath and' Lee.
