SEEDS FROM NAPIER

SENT TO LONDON BLITZED AREA. (Special Correspondent.) LONDON, May 12. The vegetable seeds sent to the New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr Jordan by the Napier Returned Services’ Association, for British allotment holders, have greatly pleased the Ministry of Agriculture, which suggested that they be given to the children of Bethnal Green, one of London’s worst blitzed areas. • The children have made allotments on the sites of former houses, of which they are most proud. Mr Jordan will present the seeds on Thursday when the regional commissioner, Sir Wyndham Deedes, and the Mayor of Bethnal Green will attend.
