OBITUARY

MR DANIELL BAYBUTT. The death occurred yesterday at Greymouth of Mr Daniel Baybutt, who resided for a period in recent years in the Wairarapa. Mrs Gibb Johnston, formerly of Kent Street, Carterton, and now of Wellington, is a daughter and Warrant Officer II J. D. Bay butt, formerly of Masterton, and now serving with the New Zealand Forces in the Middle East, is a son. The late Mr Baybutt, who was of a retiring disposition, was very well liked by those who knew him. For many years he engaged in farming operations on the West Coast. He was a Justice of the Peace, A few years ago he came to the Wairarapa and resided with his daughter in Carterton and for a short period he lived with his son in Masterton. About 12 months ago he returned to Greymouth. His wife predeceased him many years ago.
