WORKMEN’S FRIEND.

MEETING OF DIRECTORS.

The monthly meeting of the directors of the Workmen's Friend No. 2 Building Society was held last night, Mr Wm. Kemp presiding. There were also present Messrs E. H. Morton, C.< W. Walker. A. V. Dixon, A. E. Hubbard, S. M.'Gilding, T. B. Braggins,.H. L. Price and E. J. Brown. The finance report as submitted by the secretary was confirmed. Accounts amounting to £lO 4s were passed for payment. A transfer of certain shares approved. Instructions were received from a shareholder who had participated in a recent appropriation to invest the money in the Liberty War Loan. It was resolved that the sum of £5OO be offered for sale at the next meeting of directors to be held on June 3. The secretary reported on action he had taken in regard to arrears of payments and the course he had pursued was approved.
