METHODIST CHURCH

. LADIES’ GUILD. MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS At the monthly meeting of the Masterton Methodist Ladies' Guild, Mrs H. S. Kings presided over a good attendance of members. Apologies foi absence were received from Mesdames White and Jamieson. Arrangements were made for the Guild to act as hostesses at the Y.M.C.A. soldiers’ tea on Sunday, May 17. It was decided to entertain the Missionary Auxiliary members and friends at afternoon tea on Thursday, May 21.

In order to raise funds it was decided to have a “trading table” at the meetings and members were requested to bring articles for this purpose. After the business had been dealt with, the Indies spent the afternoon sewing Red Cross articles. It was decided to continue with the “Pyramid Card” effort this year. Afternoon tea was served by the tea hostesses, Mesdames Daysh and Speight.
