“CRAZY SHOW"
A WILLIAMSON PRODUCTION.
' “Crazy Show,” the London Palladium production which is to be presented at the Opera House on Friday night by the Great Levante, by arrangement with J. C. Williamson Theatres, Ltd., achieved an electrical success on its initial production in Auckland,, and the following morning there was _ a sensational demand for seats, practically the whole theatre being booked out for the remainder of the season. “Crazy Show” owes its popularity to the clever and original comedy scenes and sketches, none of which have been previously produced in New Zealand. The leading comedians are Ronald Shand, Robert Butt, Joe Valli, Lawrie Long, Joe Corelli and Ed. Edwards. A tower of strength to’ the company is the brilliant work of the dashing young comedienne, Miss Doris Whimp, who has become an established favourite with playgoers of New Zealand. Miss Ursula Irving’s fine soprano voice is heard to advantage, and Miss Lsme Levante performs on the violin in a musical scene. One of the outstanding features in “Crazy Show” 'is the Great Levante. Much interest is centred in the personal appearance of the brilliant ventriloquist, Mr George Tollerton, who will present his popular feature, “Chuckles with Jerry.” The ballets are a big feature of “Crazy Show.” The box plans will be opened at Messrs Steele and Bull’s on Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock.
