INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING PARCELS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ■WELLINGTON, This Day. The Prisoners of War Inquiry Office notifies next of kin. that parcels are coming into the office overweight, when it is taken into account that they have requested that, with two lbs. of chocolate included, the parcel should not exceed 8 lbs. Postal notes should ,be sent before posting a parcel and definitely not afterwards. Contents slips should be in duplicate and included in the parcel. Otherwise there is delay. ’ .

The total number of prisoners recorded at headquarters is now:— Army, 5,894; Air Force, 13.9; Navy, 9; Merchant seamen and civil, 27; miscellaneous, 26; unofficial, 35; total, 6,130.
