REPORT DENIED
NO FORMATION OF NEW COMPANIES. TO CONTROL FOOD PURCHASE & IMPORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, April 30. A Ministry of Food official denies the report cabled yesterday that new companies are being formed to control the purchase, importation and distribution of meat, butter and cheese. He said companies already exist for that purpose, and a butter and cheese association had been incorporated in November to represent all firms acting as the Ministry’s agent for first-hand saleof butter and cheese. This company did not control the imports of butter and cheese, because the Ministry was the sole purchaser of these commodities.
