WAIRARAPA MAN POWER COMMITTEE FURTHER APPEALS HEARD. MEN CALLED FOR TERRITORIAL SERVICE. Further appeals in respect to men called up for Territorial service were heard by the Wairarapa Man Power Committee at a sitting held in Masterton today. There were present: Messrs T. Jordan (chairman), L. T. Daniell and F. Cole, and the secretary and Crown representative, Mr G. F. Whitlock. The name of the person lodging the appeal is given .in parentheses in the cases mentioned below. Adjourned sine die: Bernard McDonald, farm manager (Wyeth Estate); Thomas Longworth, farm hand (H. B. Maunsell), reservist to do Territorial training during July, August and September; Arthur Erl Perry, farmer (estate F. W. Percy); Peter On Hing, fruiterer’s assistant (Harry On Hing); Wallace Charlie Bragg, farm hand (Eric Thomas Wilton), reservist to do Territorial training in June, July and August; David James Cooper, sheep farmer (Charles Oliver Cooper); Charles Oliver Cooper, farmer (Cooper Bros.); lan Henry Churchill Jackson, farm manager (C. C. Jackson); Robertson Cordiner May, farm manager (J. G. Wingate). Adjourned: John George M. McMinn, motor mechanic (H. J. Jones and Co., Ltd.), until August 31. Service postponed: Stanley Atwill Hawkless, casing worker (Oppenheimer Casing Co., Ltd.), reservist not to be called before May 15; Clarence Hororata Wilson, casing worker (Oppenheimer Casing Co., Ltd.), reservist not to be called before June 30. R. Eaton).
