MISSING MAN
REMAINS FOUND IN DEBRIS. OF BURNT-OUT TIMBER FACTORY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 28. Remains which on examination proved to be human and are presumed to. be those of Percy Reginald Wells were found by police searchers today at the burned-out factory of the Kauri Timber Company at Freeman’s Bay. Mr Wells, aged 63 years, was not accounted for after the fire last Wednesday. He had been working upstairs in the joinery department. As soon as the heat of the debris had subsided sufficiently for searchers to enter, they had little difficulty in finding the remains, as they knew, in what part of the premises the missing man had been working and their expectations as to the location proved c'orrect. No person other than Mr Wells was missing and the police, therefore, felt safe in assuming that the problem was solved.
