HOME GUARD A PRESENTATION MADE. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the weekend parade at Papawai the Engineering Section of the South Wairarapa Battalion of the Home Guard made a presentation to Mr J. McHardy. Lieut. H. W. Feast, on behalf of the members, in making the presentation, expressed regret that they were losing a useful member and a good comrade and wished the recipient the best of luck. Farmers’ Labour Worries. The question of farm labour in causing the dairy farmers concern. At Greytown last week one farmer was placed in an awkward position when, at a moment’s notice, the boy he employed signified his intention of going deer-stalking and simply left. TOWN HALL A DOUBLE ATTRACTION. There will be a double programme tomorrow night headed by “Band Wagon,” featuring England's foremost radio comedian, Arthur Askey, supported by Pat Kirkwood. The associate picture will be “Three Men From Texas,” scenically breath-taking, with Hopalong Cassidy in the chief role.
