AIR FORCE RELATIONS

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. At the monthly meeting of the Air Force Relations Committee, the following members were present: Mesdames H. J. W. Lord (in the chair), S. Gill, P. Nathan, A. Harcombe, H. Rishworth, G. W. Sellar and Miss Patrick. An apology was received from Mrs J. A. Betts.

A report from headquarters informed the committee that if it will continue to send them what tinned food it can they will include it in the parcels that they are still sending regularly to England. Masterton donors have been generous givers of tinned food for England, and the committee is still sending about 200 tins every month.

The committee wish to remind Air Force supporters, that they are always to be found at the Patriotic Rooms (in the Women’s Rest Rooms, Dixon Street) on the first and third Tuesday afternoons of every month, when knitted patterns, etc., are on view. After the meeting the committee packed tinned foods, and a box of woollen garments, including 28 pullovers, 6 balaclavas and 16 pairs of blue uniform gloves. The committee wish to thank the following helpers and donors of tinned food: — Mesdames Brunton, T. Beetham, Birch, Bennett, H. Beetham, G. Beard, J. Bird, Blair, Betts, W. Burling, D. Buchanan, H. Brickman, R. Cunningham, J. Caselberg, Cruickshank, De Groot, F. Daniell, Fagan, S. Gill, Hosking, G. Hyde, A. Harcombe, Hornabrook, Hogg, J. James G. Jones, N. Irwin, Longstaff, Lord, J. Lett, G. Moore, Laird Meredith, J. McDougal, Mac Kay, McCalmont, P. Nathan, J. Payne, Rishworth, Ractliffe, G. Sellar, Sydney Smith, D. Thompson, G. C. Williams, Wright, Winzenberg and C. Yorke, Misses W. Nicholls, Tankersley, Butement, McEachen and Carey, Messrs G. Hyde, J. Jenkins and J. W. Buchanan.

Parcels of comforts, knitted garments or tinned foods may be sent to any member of the committee, or left at the offices of Messrs Dunderdale and Gray, Page’s Buildings, Perry Street, Masterton. The parcels will be packed and forwarded to Wellington on the 20th of every month.
