APPEALS HEARD
SITTING OF MAN POWER COMMITTEE WAIRARAPA CASES DEALT WITH. SERVICE IN TERRITORIALS. A sitting of the No. 7B Man Power Committee was held in Masterton today, to hear appeals mostly from men drawn for Territorial service in the 14th Ballot. Mr T. Jordan presided and also present were Messrs L. T. Daniell and F. Cole and Mr G. F. Whitlock, secretary and Crown representative. In the appeals mentioned below the name of the person lodging the appeal is given in parentheses:— Appeals adjourned sine die: lan Gillies Tilson, farmer (J. H. Tilson); Gwen Alexander Wyeth, farmer (reservist), reservist to do Territorial training during May, June and July; Garnet Walter Roper Ousey, farmhand (Trustees Orui Estate), reservist to do Territorial training during May, June and July; Lawrence Doyle, farmhand (Jack R. Matthews); James Denniston Lochore, shepherd (Thomas Wyeth), reservist to do Territorial training in May, June and July; Arthur Douglas McGovern, farmer (Trustees Est. James McGovern); Basil Vaughan Bodie, manager (Reliance Tire and Rubber Co.); Henry Francis Edgar Howes, shepherd (Trustees Est. J. H. Cameron).
William Henry Nagel, sharemilker (A. M. Henderson); Kenneth McDonald, farm manager (Trustees Est. J. H. Davidson); Philip William Southey, farmer (reservist); Rondon Arthur Pyne, farm manager (N. C.
