NEW ZEALANDERS PLAY HOSPITALS. TWO PLAYERS SUFFER BROKEN LEGS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, April 25. In the .Middlesex seven-a-side Rugby tournament, the R.N.Z.A.F. team beat St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, 10-0. Pilot Officer Eric Grant (threequarter) captained the R.N.Z.A.F. team. St. Mary’s Hospital beat New Zealand Army, 16-0. During the first half the New Zealanders lost their captain, Corporal R. Erickson, and also Sapper J. Kits, each of whom had a leg broken. Because no substitutes were allowed. St. Mary’s sportingly transferred one of its men to the New Zealand side, making six-a-side.
