MR HULL CONFIDENT

EXPANSION OF AMERICAN WAR EFFORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, April 21. The Secretary of State, Mr Cordell Hull, at his first Press conference since February 4, said that he had observed with deep satisfaction the splendid showing of the whole U.S. war effort during recent months, particularly the production of war supplies, which had greatly expanded, and the output of which was far larger than had even been hoped. Victory would be hastened by every additional ounce of effort which each put forth. He was confident that the American nation and all those with it had only one watchword: “To move forward today, not tomorrow.” With this will for victory, free men all over the world would triumph over barbarism.
