WOMEN’S INSTITUTE BIRTHDAY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The birthday meeting of the Tinui Women’s Institute was held at the Public Hall, when Mrs Speedy presided over a fair attendance of members. Miss Langdon gave a most interest? ing demonstration of spinning. The following are the results of the monthly competitions:—Apple jelly: Mrs Street, 1; Mrs Beck, 2; Mrs Johnston, 3. Best bloom: Mrs O’Hara, 1 and 2; Mrs Street, 3. Soldier’s hold-all: Mrs Beck, 1; Mrs Street, 2; Mrs Perry, 3. A musical game was won by Mrs Allen. Afternoon tea was served by members of the committee.
