BONDS FOR BOMBERS ( A WEEK’S RESPONSE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The amount realised from the sale ef Bomber Bonds from March 23 till March 31 was £4,456. Personal Items. Mrs J. McKinnon, Whangarei, is visiting her daughter, Mrs Trask. Mr A. J. McKinnon, who recently returned from Greece is spending Easter with Mr and Mrs Trask. Mr H. Lawson left yesterday for Picton, and intends to spend a holiday fishing in the. Sounds. Soldiers’ Dance. The Patriotic Committee will hold a soldiers' dance on Easter Monday night in the Town Hall. Ashton’s Orchestra will supply the music, and patrons are assured of an enjoyable time.

Vital Statistics. There were two births and two marriages in Featherston in March. Rainfall Record. During March 4.84 inches of rain fell, the maximum fall being 3.05 inches on March 10. Post and Telegraph Hours. The Post Office will be closed in all branches on Good Friday and Easter Monday, with the exception of the Telephone Exchange, which will remain open contiuously as usual. The Featherston-Tauherenikau and Feath-erston-Whangaimoana mail services will be suspended. The FeatherstonWharepapa service will run today, instead of Friday.
