EASTER IN U.S.A.

TIME OFF FOR DEVOTIONS OTHERWISE WAR PRODUCTION SHOULD CONTINUE. MR NELSON’S INTIMATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 1. Mr Donald Nelson, War Production Chief, intimated to war industry workers today that those who do not intend to spend Easter Sunday as a day of religious) observance should perform a full day’s work at their regular jobs. Mr Nelson noted, however, that Easter Sunday is a day of very great religious significance and said it was therefore entirely proper that those who wished should have time off for devotional reasons. The War Production Board is not asking anyone to forego the observance of Easter rites and ceremonies.
