Temperatures: Absolute shade maximum, 77 degrees on 30th (83.34); absolute shade minimum, 33.9 degrees on 3rd (40.1). Thus the range was 43.1 (43.2). Mean temperature for the month, 57.8 (61.3). Absolute grass minimum, 22.2 degrees on 3rd (30.6); average grass minimum, 40.86 (42.5); average at one foot underground, 59.9 (62.9). Severest frost, 8.1 degrees on night of 2nd (nil). Days of frost (grass minimum 30.4 degrees Fahr, or lower), 3 (nil); of shade temperature below 32 degrees F., nil (nil); of gale, 2 (2). Total rainfall, 4.19 inches on 15 days (3.95); greatest fall, 233 points on 11th (150).
