WEST SCHOOL
HOME ASSOCIATION. MEETING OF COMMITTEE. There was a good attendance at a meeting of the committee of the Masterton West School and Home Asociation, Mr V. Burridge presiding. Mrs J. Hayward reported on the free kindergarten meeting which she attended. The headmaster, Mr J. Farrell, expressed his thanks to the association for the manner in which the children’s plain and fancy dress dance had been carried out. He referred especially to the splendid work of the ladies’ committee. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Stubbings and Miss Cameron for a special prize, and to Mr Kelleher for the loan of the donkey. It was decided to hold an old time dance on April 11 in the Masterton West School. It was stated that the dance would be open for young people to attend. The next meeting of the committee will be held on Tuesday, April 14.
