SOLDIERS CONCERT

OPERA HOUSE THURSDAY WEEK. WELL-VARIED PROGRAMME. A splendid programme of well-var-ied items is promised at the concert to be presented in the Masterton Opera House on Thursday, April 9, by soldiers of the district. The takings will be in aid of the district Patriotic Fund. Among the items will be contributions by Drivers Gemmell and Shirnan, songs; a mouth-organ trio; Sergeant Strickett, conjuring; Driver Ward, mouth-organ solo; Lance-Cor-poral Dunn, monologue; Trooper Ross, Spanish guitar and yodelling; Sapper Zami, piano-accordion, and items by a Maori concert party. Patrons should lose no time in booking their seats, as a crowded house is expected to greet the performers in khaki.
