MAURICEVILLE
RED CROSS SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING. | (“Times-Age” Special.) On Monday night last the local subcentre of the Red Cross Society held its annual meeting at Mauriceville East. The report and balance sheet showed that the sub-centre was in a sound position. The activities over the past twelve months have been of an extensive nature and had been carried out in a satisfactory manner. The Red Cross Society’s shop had proved a success, thanks to the excellent efforts of the officers. It was decided to close the shop for a period of three months. It is desired that all members assist in equipping the local hall for emergency purposes. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —President, Mrs A. Forsberg; secretary, Mrs J. A. Baine; treasurer, Mrs Chas. Clarke; committee, Mesdames Milner, H. Trass Senr., W .Cheetham and Godden. E.P.S. Meeting. E.P.S. members met in the Mauriceville Hall on Monday night, Mr. A. Forsberg being in the chair. Various committees were set up and matters relating to the E.P.S. discussed.
