BONDS FOR BOMBERS

GOOD START IN MASTERTON. YESTERDAY'S SALES TOTAL £1471. Masterton opened its Bonds for Bombers campaign yesterday by purchasing 121 bonds, representing a value of £1471. This is considered an excellent start for the.week. Bonds for Bombers will be on sale throughout the week at all post offices and banks. Recent happenings in the East, it is pointed out, have brought home to the people of New Zealand the necessity for strengthening the home front and the National Savings campaign is a vital factor in this effort. It is hoped that every person will buy at least one bond. Posters have been displayed in large numbers in Masterton, drawing attention to the week's campaign.
