W.E.A. Lectures.

The W.E.A. lectures for this year will commence tomorrow at 7.30 p.m. in the Municipal Building and will be given by Mr Hely. who in previous lectures made some remarkable forecasts in connection with the war, one being the entry of Russia on the side of Britain. Those interested in the W.E.A. and international affairs are asked to make an effort to attend the lectures. National Day of Prayer. The Right Rev. John Davie. Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, has issued the following statement in connection with the national day of prayer: “His Majesty the King has expressed the desire that Sunday. March 29, should be observed as a National Day of Prayer. In conformity with this desire I call upon the Presbyterian Church in New Zealand to join wholeheartedly with all Christians in the Empire to seek God’s guidance and blessing.” The Art Club will hold a mooting in the Bannister Street Hall on Thursday, night.
