MEETING OF PAREN IS’ ASSOCIATION. BOARD OF GOVERNORS ELECTION. The committee of the Wairarapa College Parents' Association met in the school library last evening. Mr A. Owen Jones presided over a good attendance of members. The date of the annual meeting was fixed for Tuesday, April 14. It was decided to hold over the question of arranging old time, dances until after the annual meeting. It was agreed to nominate the following members as candidates to represent the parents at the forthcoming Board of Governors’ election: Messrs S. V. Playsted, A. J. Towns and J. G. McFarlane. Members spoke in appreciation of the excellent services in furtherance of education rendered by the three candidates being nominated. Mr Towns, it was stated, had been secretary of the Parents’ Association since its inception, Mr Playsted had been a member of the committee for over two years, and Mr McFarlane had taken a prominent part in primary education.
