Confirmation of American participation in the raids bn Rabaul and Lae on March 21 and 22 has been received. On March 21, two Flying Fortresses attacked the Rabaul Aerodrome and effected considerable damage. Two Japanese fighters attempting to intercept them were probablj* shot down. On March 22 our heavy bombers attacked their airfields at Lae, destroying at least nine enemy planes on the ground.
