AXIS FORCES

MASSING IN GREEK ISLANDS AND AT SALONIKA. REPORTS OF GREEK SABOTAGE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) ANKARA, March 10. Considerable German and Italian military preparations are being made in the Greek Archipelago. Many guns and large quantities of ammunition last month were moved along the Bel-grade-Nish railway and thence to Salonika. The railway between Salonika and Athens is entirely reserved for military purposes. German and Italian troops are reported to be massing on Greek islands, specially Lemnos, Samos and Mitylene. The Germans are using Salonika as a distribution point for the Balkans, but they are encountering considerable Greek sabotage. Three hundred Greeks are reported to have been shot in reprisal for damage which was done to the Salonika-Svillengrad railway.
