WOMEN’S INSTITUTE ANNUAL MEETING. (“Times-Age’ Special.) The annual meeting of the Tinui Women’s Institute was held at the Tinui Hall when Mrs Speedy presided over a large attendance of members. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —President, Mrs Speedy; vice-presidents, Mrs O’Hara and Mrs Mac Alister; secretary, Miss C. O’Hara; treasurer, Mrs O’Hara; committee, Mesdames Speedy, O’Hara, Mac Alister, Lye, Mclsaac, Beck and Misses O’Hara, Street, O. Owen, E. Owen, S. Atack and Mac Alister. ■ Mrs Beck gave a most interesting demonstration on felt work, and a vote of thanks was accorded to her. The following were the results of the monthly competitions: —Plum jam: Mrs Perry and Mrs McKay (equal) 1, Mrs Johnston 2, Mrs Beck 3. Best bloom: Mrs O’Hara 1, Mrs Street 2, Mrs Mac Alister 3. Article made out of something old: Mrs Beck 1, Mrs McKay 2, Mrs Mac Alister 3. The hostesses were Mrs Bennett and the Misses Langdon.
