A Palestinian soldier, who has escaped from Greece, reveals that Athens has produced its “Nurse Cavell.” This Greek girl took into her house three Australians, who had eluded their guards and she kept them hidden pending arranging their escape. She found them civilian clothing, but it was most difficult -to get food. She was bringing home a piece of bread when Germans arrested her at her door. The Australians heard the scuffle and they rushed out and attacked the Germans with sticks and stones. The Germans overpowered them and took the girl and the Australians to the courtyard.
