TOM MOONEY DEAD
TRIAL OF 1916 RECALLED. ALLEGED PARTICIPATION IN BOMBING. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.20 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, March 8. The death has occurred of Tom Mooney, aged 59, a former Labour leader who served 22 years imprisonment for alleged participation in bombing a San Francisco 1916 “preparedness parade” in which ten persons were killed. ♦ Mooney declared his innocence and efforts were made for many years to secure his release. He was released eventually a few years ago.
