Details of the raid on Italian positions in the Fezzan Oasis, in Libya, by Free French forces from the Chad territory are gitjen in a Cairo message. After journeying 1,200 miles, the French captured three Italian posts before turning back. They were constantly dive-bombed on the return journey. Some Italians were killed, a few were taken prisoner and arms and supplies were destroyed.
