DEMANDS OF JAPANESE MISSION IN MADAGASCAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) CAIRO, March 7. A Japanese naval and air mission is reported to have arrived at Madagascar. where the French authorities are yielding to Japanese demands on instruction from Vichy under German pressure. Recent Press messages suggested that Tokio was pressing for the use of bases in Madagascar, off the east coast of Africa, for raiding Allied supply routes in the Indian Ocean.
