GREYTOWN
CROQUET CLUB ENJOYABLE GAMES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Greytown Ladies’ Croquet Club held very enjoyable half-hour games on the greens yesterday afternoon, the winners being: —A grade: Mrs J. ton; B grade, Miss L. Hill. Personal Items. Mrs R. Page has left to spend a holiday in Wellington. Mrs E. Maddison, Main Street, is at present visiting Hastings. The pupils of the Secondary Department of the Greytown District High School were favoured by a return visit yesterday from the Carterton pupils when an enjoyable series of swimming events followed by cricket for the boys and softball for the girls was got off. In the former some very fine swimming and diving were seen. The programme also included a number of novelty events, and the results finished up with honours even. In the cricket and softball the visitors were the winners by a narrow margin. TOWN HALL TOMORROW’S PROGRAMME. The programme tomorrow at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. will be headed by the sparkling musical comedy “Sunny,” with Ann Neagle, Ray Bolger, and Edward Everett Horton in the leading roles. (Approved for Universal Exhibition.)
