PROGRESSIVE PAIRS BOWLING CLUB’S TOURNEY. (“Times-Age” Special.) .In the progressive pairs tournament played by the Greytown Bowling Club at the weekend W. Higgison won the skips’ section, and J. Reid the leads. T. Connolly secured the hidden number prize. Euchre Party and Dance. The Morison Bush-Battersea Patriotic Committee continues to do its part in assisting in the war effort. Tonight the committee will hold a euchre party and dance in the Morison’s Bush Hall to augment the local funds. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs F. Best returned to Greytown on Friday after having spent a holiday at Wanganui. Miss M. Eccles, of, Wellington, was a weekend visitor to Greytown. Leading Aircraftman K. Langford, of Wellington, was the guest of Mr and Mrs N. Langford for the weekend. Gunner A. G. Carter and Private E. Dennes, of Greytown, were home for the weekend. TOWN HALL TOMORROW’S PROGRAMME. Tomorrow night at the Town Hall will be shown the outstanding epic of the sea, “Captains Courageous,” with Spencer Tracy, Lionel Barrymore and F. Bartholomew in the leading roles.
