GREYTOWN
SCOUTS AND CUBS ATTEND CHURCH SERVICE. (“Times-Age” Special.) Yesterday the Greytown Scouts and Cubs attended St. Luke’s Church for the morning service. Members of the League of Mothers were present at the evening service. The Rev. J. Abbott conducted both services. Bowling. The winners of the progressive pairs were: _Skips, T. Connolly; leads, H. B. Wallace. Hidden number honours were shared by J. Kiernan and H. McPhee, One up after twenty-three heads saw J. Reid win the Donnes Medal from G. Brunton. Brunton had won seven games on end and Reid is to be congratulated on his success. Slit Trenches. Good progress has been made with the construction of slit trenches at the Greytown School by the E.P.S., and despite the bad weather a considerable portion of the work was completed. The work will be continued during the week by thole willing to assist. Personal. The Rev. G. Knowles-Smith and Mrs Smith are at present visiting Wellington in connection with the Methodist Conference. TOWN HALL TONIGHT’S PROGRAMME. Tonight Paramount’s lyrical, laughable, lovable epic of Lilliput land “Gulliver’s Travels,” in living technicolour, will be shown. (Approved for Universal Exhibition).
