SOUTH FEATHERSTON
EUCHRE AND DANCE SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the fortnightly euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall. The gathering was a most successful one. The prize-winners were:— Ladies: Mrs A. Gain, 1; Mrs R. Simmonds, 2. Men: Mr R. Chisholm, 1; Mr R. Fuge, 2. The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mrs Morris and partners. The music was supplied by Mr M. Ahipene and others. School Association. The monthly meeting of the South Featherston Home and School Association was held on Thursday afternoon. Mrs Clark presided over a good attendance of members. Those present agreed to help at the Soldiers’ Club, Featherston, on one Sunday in each month. The competition for plain scones was won by Mrs Willis with Mrs Blandford second and Mrs Wilton third. The hostesses were Mesdames Blain and Willis. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs J. Blain, South Featherston, are away on a holiday. Aircraftman lan and Mrs Blain are spending a few days at Lake Ferry. Trooper R. D. Burt was home for the weekend.
