Internment camps for enemy aliens, according to statements made at a meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital Board yesterday, are to be established at the Pahiatua Showgrounds and Racecourse. This information was made known by Mr F. S. H. Bolton, who said the internees were to be shifted from Wellington and Auckland. Miss McKenny said that international laws required the removal of internees from places likely to be attacked by the enemy.
