The Berlin radio states: “Rommel will advance only as far as military reasons demand and not a step furthehr. We shall not let ourselves be caught in a trap.” The radio declared that Mr Churchill had attributed Rommel with the intention of capturing the whole of those African parts nearest in Asia. ITALIAN CLAIMS TROOPS BEYOND DERNA. (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) LONDON, February 5. An Italian communique claims that the Axis troops have pasesd Derna and are continuing pursuit of the enemy eastwards.
